Eric Wommack was born in Missouri and moved with his family to Texas at the age of eight. Eric grew up in Arlington but moved away to Lubbock to complete his education. Eric graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Real Estate Finance.
Upon graduation, Eric took a job as a loan officer in Arlington. In a very short time he was a top producer.
In 2002, Eric started his own comany. The doors have been open since June 1st of 2002 and started with a staff of only 3 employees, and is still going strong today.
Eric attributes his success to his upbringing. You could say that Real Estate is in Eric’s blood. His parents are successful agents in the real estate industry. By age 18, Eric purchased his first home. Eric obtained his real estate license and worked as a realtor prior to attending Tech. Eric’s extensive background in the industry, combined with his specialized education and his uncanny ability to put people at ease, have made him a success in the mortgage business.
Eric says he is fortunate to have a “unique perspective,” when it comes to the mortgage business. “I have worn many hats so to speak. I have been a first time homebuyer and know what it feels like to sit across from a lender. It can be a very scary feeling. And, I have also worked as a realtor and understand the expectations of a loan officer handling a realtor client. It is not enough to understand the needs of the different players in a deal, the key is to go a step further and provide what they need. Customer service is key.”
Eric’s philosophy on customer service is that “quality is not only provided in products you purchase in the store, it is also available with people. I provide quality to my customers from start to finish throughout the loan process. My customers know that no question is unimportant, that I am available to them when they need me and that I will deliver on what I promise.”
Eric works closely with his wife Christina, who is also a loan officer at Wommack Mortgage. “The mortgage industry is very demanding upon a person’s time and I am fortunate to be in a situation where my wife not only understands these demands, she works with me to satisfy them. I think the fact that we work together gives me an advantage.”
Eric and Christina have been married since 1996 and have 2 beautiful children. Eric does not believe in all work and no play. When business allows, he and his family enjoy traveling together along with snorkeling and scuba diving.
